'FIR Aapke Dwar', CHAMPIONS Scheme, Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat Campaign

1. Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat Campaign

- To celebrate the spirit of Unity in Diversity of our Nation,the Government is running Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat Campaign.
- The Ministry for HRD is the nodal ministry for EBSB campaign which is run along with several other partner ministries and states.
- To keep up the momentum of the campaign inspite of lockdown due to Covid19, the Indian Institute of Information Technology Guwahati recently organised a Poster Making Competition.
- The students were asked to participate from their homes for the competition held online due to lockdown.
- The topic of the competition was “RAJASTHAN TOURISM AND TRAVELS”.
2. BPPI Contributes Rs.25 Lakh to PMCARES fund
- To support government in its fight against COVID-19, Bureau of Pharma PSUs of India(BPPI) Under the Department of Pharmaceuticals, Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers has contributed Rs. 25 Lakh to PMCARES fund.
- Pharmacists, popularly known as “Swasth ke Sipahi”, of Pradhan Mantri Jan Aushadhi Kendra, are delivering essential services and medicines at doorstep of patients and elderly under Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Janaushadhi Pariyojana (PMBJP) of the Government of India.
Salient Features of the Scheme PMBJP :
- Ensure access to quality medicines.
- Extend coverage of quality generic medicines so as to reduce the out of pocket expenditure on medicines and thereby redefine the unit cost of treatment per person.
- Create awareness about generic medicines through education and publicity so that quality is not synonymous with only high price.
- A public programme involving Government, PSUs, Private Sector, NGO, Societies, Co-operative
3. Ministry of MSME Launches CHAMPIONS Portal www.Champions.gov.in
- In a major initiative Union Ministry of MSME has launched CHAMPIONS portal www.Champions.gov.in, a Technology driven Control Room-Cum-Management Information System.
- The system utilising modern ICT tools is aimed at assisting Indian MSMEs march into big league as National and Global CHAMPIONS.
- The CHAMPIONS stands here for Creation and Harmonious Application of Modern Processes for Increasing the Output and National Strength. Accordingly, the name of the system is CHAMPIONS.
- As the name suggests, the portal is basically for making the smaller units big by solving their grievances, encouraging, supporting, helping and handholding. It is a real one-stop-shop solution of MSME Ministry.
- It is a technology packed control room-cum-management information system.
- As part of the system a network of control rooms is created in a Hub & Spoke Model. The Hub is situated in New Delhi in the Secretary MSME’s office.
4. 'FIR Aapke Dwar': MP govt launched first ever 'FIR at doorstep' scheme
- FIR Aapke Dwar yojana has been started as a pilot project in 23 police stations, including one rural and one urban police station at 11 divisional headquarters.
Key Highlights:
- The trained head constables in the First Response Vehicle (FRV), which is GPS fitted for attending the emergency calls (dial 100), will be able to file the FIR on spot.
- The BJP government called the pilot project a revolution and claimed that MP has been the only state to have taken such initiative. It will alleviate people’s problem of visiting the police stations amid COVID-19 lockdown.
- DGP VK Johri informed that the pilot project will run till August 31. After that, the scheme will be reviewed and further implemented across the state with an improved system and trained police personnel.
Launch of ‘Helpline dial 112’:
Madhya Pradesh government has also launched ‘helpline dial 112’. This helpline number will facilitate the immediate availability of police, ambulance, and fire- fighting services wherever needed in the state.
Note: Bandhavgarh National Park is in the central Indian state of Madhya Pradesh. This biodiverse park is known for its large population of royal Bengal tigers, especially in the central Tala zone.
